Greetings,

Welcome to the website for my campaign for Sheriff of La Porte County. By way of introduction, I am a lifelong resident of La Porte County.  My parents, Tom and Marilyn, chose this great community to raise their family and I have followed their lead. My wife Amy, also a lifelong La Portean, and I are raising our children Megan and Nicholas here because, like our parents, we believe in this community.

My entire life I’ve dedicated myself to serving the citizens of La Porte County, from the shores of Lake Michigan to the Kankakee River and every town in between. Law enforcement was a calling from early childhood and I am so very thankful to have had the opportunity to work at the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office these past 24 years. We have a good department with a lot of hard working and dedicated police officers. Make no mistake about it, we have serious issues that need to be dealt with, most notably drugs and crimes related to the drug dealers and abusers. My number one goal as Sheriff will be to utilize every resource available to attack the suppliers. Through positive leadership, hard work and a bi-partisan mind set we can overcome this crime that has been so devastating to our community.

There is a lot to address in this campaign and I hope to be able to share this as we move toward election day in November. I hope that you will feel the freedom to reach out and ask any questions or share your thoughts with me. Our campaign committee, my family and I sincerely appreciate your support. Thank you for visiting our website.
